Zinc Powder is also known as Zinc Dust and comes in the form of a bluish-gray powder. It has no smell and is highly flammable.

Uses

Zinc Powder is often used to propel model rockets because when a compressed mixture of 70% zinc and 30% sulfur powder is ignited there is a strong chemical reaction. If you take the results from that chemical reaction and mix with gas, heat and light you will create Zinc Sulfide. Alkaline batteries and some paints are more uses for Zinc Powder.
